Douglas Lake is a great fishing venue for anglers either off our private deck or off a boat with largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, & catfish being the most popular game fish. Sauger, walleye, & white bass also provide excellent fishing opportunities when they make their late-winter spawning runs to the headwaters. National Fishing & Boating Week occur each year during early June.
Douglas Lake is great for swimming, pontoon boating, jet skiing, and many other water sports. Guests at the Lake House can bring their own boats and jet skis or alternatively they can be rented from the nearby marinas.
Walking through the grandeur of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park can be an exhilarating experience seeing the natural beauty of the fauna and flora to be found throughout this magnificent forest. You may be lucky and see a herd of deer, a flock of turkeys, or even a black bear climbing a tree.
Nearby riding stables off a unique opportunity to experience guided riding trails on well-trained horses through beautiful wooded scenery and mountain streams in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
