Wedding parties are welcome.  The outdoor kitchen with the 320 sq ft entertainment deck overlooking the lake is an ideal location.

Wedding ceremonies have also taken place on our lakeside Deck overlooking the lake at the front of the house, and on the ground floor patio and adjacent deck overlooking the lake.

An initial deposit of 20% of the total rental is required to confirm a booking. The remaining rental is due by installments payable either monthly, every 2 months, or quarterly at dates to be agreed but with the final payment not later than 30 days prior to arrival date.

The cleaning fee of $695 will be added to the final payment due not later than 30 days prior to your arrival date.

In the event of cancellation 90 days prior to arrival date, all deposits are refundable in full.

The Security/Damage Deposit of $1,000 is payable with with the final payment, and will be refunded in full not later than 14 days after departure subject to no breakages/damages.

Confirmation providing a detailed schedule with relevant amounts and dates will be emailed and the dates will be blocked off pending receipt of the agreed deposit within 14 days.

Children of all ages are welcome.

Parents/guardians are advised to keep constant watch over them due to the proximity of the lake on three sides of the Lake House promontory.

There is a children’s suite with 3 bedrooms with bunk beds sleepng a maximum of 14, and a full bathroom with single vanity unit, toilet and enclosed bath with overhear shower..

A highchair and 2 folding cribs are also available on request.

No pets are allowed.

Smoking is NOT allowed either inside the house, on the porch, hot tub deck, patio, or on the entertainment deck adjacent to the outdoor kitchen.  EXTREME CARE care should be taken to avoid the risks of fire if you smoke outside the house in areas where there are trees, shrubs, and vegetation.

Smoking inside the house will result in the necessity for extensive professional cleaning and consequence of the total forfeiture of your damage deposit.

A Security/Damage Deposit of US$1,000 is payable together with the final rental payment on the agreed due date prior to your arrival.  Subject to no breakages/damages, this will be refunded to you not later than 14 days after your departure.

Please note $250 will be deducted from your Securirt/Damage Deposit in the event the outdoor kitchen and grill has not been cleaned after use and left in a state/condition unacceptable to our Property Manager in consideration to the next guest.

The owner also reserves the right to charge an additional cleaning fee in the event the house is left in an unacceptable condition.

The main level is accessible using the wheelchair ramp but accessing into the house only thru a narrow door.  Better access is on the lower level which is also wheelchair accessible thru double patio doors into the games & theater rooms.

There is a pebble-stone pathway off the driveway approximately 20 feet from the house, leading a short distance through the trees down to the lakeside deck, dock, and lakeside seats.

A community seasonal swimming pool, open from Labor Day Weekend until September, is set in a beautiful location just a short walk from the Lake House.  The pool and large deck are within a fenced enclosure and loungers and seats are available free of charge.  Children under 16 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult who MUST remain within the pool fenced area.  Access to the poll is available to guests staying at the Lake House and restricted strictly to residents of other properties within Douglas Lake Resort.

There are a number of marinas on Douglas Lake offering hire of Pontoon Boats, Jet Skis (Wave Runners), Kayaks, Paddle Boats, Paddle Boards, & towables including Tubes, Skis, Knee Boards, & Wake Boards.  Fishing boats can also be hired.

The Lake House dock has been approved by Smoky Mountain H2O Sports Marina for rental boats to be kept overnight.

It is not possible to launch a boat directly from the Lake House but a community boat ramp with free & open access is located in the lake inlet bordering onto the Lake House private wooded gardens. This is perfectly situated for guests providing them with a free facility to launch their boats and arrive within a couple of minutes at the private Lake House boat dock for their exclusive use during their stay.but there is a free communal boat ramp/slipway approximately 200 yards away located on the inlet bordering on the Lake House .

Boats can be moored at the Lake House by using the private 24ft x 4ft floating boat dock, exclusive for use by guests, and/or by tying up to the cleats at the Lake House private boat dock.

No Problem.  There is plenty of space on the  driveway and around the house to park a jet ski trailer.

It is not possible to launch a jet ski directly from the Lake House but a community boat ramp with free & open access is located in the lake inlet bordering onto the Lake House private wooded gardens. This is perfectly situated for guests providing them with a free facility to launch jet skis and arrive within a couple of minutes at the private Lake House boat dock for their exclusive use during their stay.

Jet skis can be moored at the Lake House by using the private 24ft x 4ft floating boat dock, exclusive for use by guests, and/or by tying up to the cleats at the Lake House private boat dock.

There are several golf courses within 20 minutes of the Lake House.

Fireworks are not permitted at the Lake House or anywhere on Douglas Lake Resort due to the fire hazards. 

Any breach of this regulation will result in severe and appropriate action being taken by the Board, ARC, and the Resort Manager.

As a FIRE WISE COMMUNITY, Douglas Lake Resort has strictly prohibited the use of all fire pits.

BBQ’s must never be left unattended at any time and there must always be an adult in attendance.

Extreme caution must be taken with BBQ’s due to the risk of fires.

ATV’S, UTV’S, ROV’s, & GOLF CARTS

ATV’s, UTV’s and ROV’s are NOT allowed to be brought into Douglas Lake Resort.  Any Golf Carts brought into the resort can only be operated by a licensed operator – proof of age and license may be requested.

SPEED LIMITS

The Speed Limit inside the resort is 20 mph.  This STRICT limit is posted on signs throughout the resort. It is very important to keep with this speed limit to avoid possible accidents involving pedestrians, (adults and children) and other vehicles.

Douglas Lake Resort offers one walking trail only. You may access it from Daryl Way or Willard Way.

Please keep the resort clean and beautiful by not dropping or leaving any trash no matter how small.

External security cameras have been installed for the benefit of guests at the Lake House.  Please do not tamper with any of the cameras or attempt to mask the cameras as these action will result in immediate cancellation of your booking with forfeiture of your Security/Damage Deposit and no refund of any part of your rental payment and cleaning charge.
